Sat 2nd June saw the last of the present series of “Cruise in Company” events. This was from Lagos to the Port Of Baleira at Sagres - some 15 miles West of Lagos.
The weather started with little of no wind when the yachts crossed the starting line shortly after 2pm. However
things changed very quickly and by the time the fleet had reached Praia Da Luz, northerly winds of 30 knots
made the rest of the trip a very lively affair.
The fastest corrected time in the cruise was recorded by Naima, closely followed by Clabbie Dugh - with Sula
in third place.
This made Sula the overall winner of the series.
The prizes were presented at the very enjoyable evening meal at La Tasca in the Port. Photos below.
