LEAVING PARTY - ADVANCE WARNING Following the great party put on by Jorge at Dom Pecado last week we are considering holding a Marina Leaving Party for everyone around the end of March at Dom Pecado. A lot of us are planning to head off to new cruising grounds late March or Early April so this seems an ideal time. Before we book anything we would like to get as much feedback from everyone as possible to ensure any date is free for as many people as possible. Currently we are considering March 23rd, 24th or 31st as possible dates. Please let us know if you would like to attend and also what dates are OK. This reply will not be considered as a definite booking, we will do that much nearer the time. Please email us at crisjones@talk21.com as soon as you can so we can start making some plans!!!! We may also pay a return visit to Dom Pecado mid Feb for Friday Night Supper, seeing as the food, wine, venue, music etc seemed to be thouroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Francis, the second-youngest thing in the marina has his birthday tomorrow and wants to celebrate with a feast in Osaka Sushi, Lagos. Everyone welcome to join. Great food and not just sushi. 7pm there. We leave here around 6.30pm. Meet in front of Lazy Jacks. We will hang around for a few minutes.

CRUISING INFO WANTED - CANARIES. "Capt'n Bob!" of Pendragon VI on C 17, is only here for a few days, but would love to pick the brains of anyone who knows the Canary Islands. Can you help? (Worth a visit just to admire his beautiful Contessa 32!)

BURNS NIGHT CELEBRATION Many thanks to Derry and Ana and their team for a really superb meal - and to Barbara and her dancers who provided so much laughter.

Friday Night Meetup. After last Friday's extravaganza, suggest we just have an informal get together at the Marina Bar at about 1830ish.

Has anyone got good bookkeeping skills and can help me getting started with Arithmo, an online bookkeeping software? I know the basics but need a little advice on some specifics. Contact 910393501 or scrabbler(at)gmx(dot)net

TOLLS on the A22. See LINS below for all the detail of difficulties being experienced. To enable pre-payment for any journey, you can use the toll simulator, via this link. It shows that Lagos to Faro West costs €6.60 (incl.IVA/VAT)

A Little Bit About Us!

Lagos Navigators was set up in 2004/05 - by and for yachtsmen - to enable us to share views, experiences and information in a social environment. The EVENTS, NEWS and FUN SAILING sections show what we do!

CASLAS, Lar de Jovens (LDJ) is the Children’s Home in Lagos. We use our activities to help the disadvantaged youngsters - and we’re delighted that in 2010/2011, we raised over €2,500.

The Navigators’ Net - VHF Ch. 09, at 0930 on Mondays and Fridays - features weather forecasts, social information and other items of interest to keep YOU in the picture.

Marina de Lagos management support our efforts. They also arrange “Nine Events for Nine Months” to help keep us occupied and entertained over the winter season.

We hope to see you in Lagos and that you join in our activities.
Good sailing!   Lagos Navigators.
